I don't think it will kill the GMO indu...Loren,<br />I don't think it will kill the GMO industry because the vast majority of what is done with those crops around the world is not now, and won't ever be labeled (animal feed, ethanol, clothing...). What it will do is to make it even harder to modify important crops like rice and wheat. European labeling requirements were what motivated their major importers of wheat to threaten a boycott of all North American wheat if any became GMO. The US and Canadian growers gave in and that set back biotech wheat by decades. I think the proponents of this sort of thing know that the label will be viewed as a skull and crossbones, especially among some folks who haven't really formed a strong opinion. <br /> This kind of reminds of the outcry for transparency regarding field trial locations.
