Good points. I have raised the question...Richard,

Good points. I have raised the question of whether we should continue to feed Europe. There is a landmass the size of Germany (all of it) spread around the globe feeding Europe. If they would adopt GMO technology they could stop being such a price driving competitor for global commodities. At the very least, when we have years where supplies are tight (like now or in 2007), we should sell some pre-defined, per-capita minimum to poor countries and to our own citizens before we sell a gram to EuropeSteve Savagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04408822620071396633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4541703279082624205.post-71969055378514390312011-06-23T15:37:06.444-07:002011-06-23T15:37:06.444-07:00I also believe that this fear about "Frankenf...I also believe that this fear about "Frankenfoods" is really held by people who fail to understand the benefits that GMO crops can provide to mankind. This "political football" is also keeping many GMOs out of the European market. It has to be pointed out that GMOs have been sold on the open market for nearly 15 years now and not so much as a "headache" has resulted from their consumption. We need this new technology to feed the world or face starvation.Richardhttp://www.healthyplants.comnoreply@blogger.com
